The South African Police Service hereby invites Unemployed Graduates and Students who are currently studying towards a higher education qualification and needs a practical work experience. These incumbents should conform to the requirements for a twelve (12) months Graduate Recruitment Scheme at the National Head: Directorate for Priority Crime Investigations (DPCI). The Graduate Recruitment Scheme is part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy.
Generic requirements:
*Be a South African citizen.
*Must be in possession of National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NCV L4)
*Must have no previous criminal conviction(s) or case(s) pending.
*Applicants must be unemployed, never employed in field of the advertised post and never
participated in an internship programme relevant to the field of the post.
* Proof of residential address to be attached.
*Applicants are restricted to apply for only three (3) positions and complete separate application forms for each post reference number.
Intern categories with minimum requirements:
Graduate Intern: Tertiary Qualification is required.
Student Intern: Practical experience required by the Tertiary Institution for learners to finalise their
qualification (letter from the Institution not older than two (2)years must be attached).

*Be in possession of a Diploma/Degree/B Tech in Information Technology/Digital Forensics/Information
Systems/Computer Science/Information Technology/BCom in /Forensic Investigation. These
qualifications must be recorded on the National Learner Record Database (NLRD) on at least NQF 6 or
higher.
Core Functions:
*Assist with gathering computer/digital/cyber related evidence in support of various investigation
project within the DPCI. Assist with analysing information that is intended to be used as evidence
from Information and Communication Technological (ICT) systems to support investigators within
the DPCI. Assist and support investigators with computer network unauthorised access and other
cyber related investigations and operations. Assist to identify elements proving that criminal
activities occurred after confiscation of information and related articles suspected of being
involved in the commission of an offence. Assist to recover files and prepare these files and
related articles for intensive and comprehensive examination. Assist in the conducting of online
investigations utilising Open-Source Intelligence platforms to extract and prepare information to
be used in various investigations.

Additional Requirements:
Be in possession of an applicable Three (3) year National Diploma/Degree in Human Resource
Management or Development/Public Administration/Business Administration/Office
Management and Technology, recorded on the National Learner Record Database (NLRD) on
at least a NQF 6 or higher level. Computer literacy on MS Office will be an added advantage.
Core Functions:
*Assist to handle and maintain all HRM&D related functions. Assist and provide support on
updating of leave registers and processing leave applications. Maintain HRM&D registers, receive
and process applications for transfers. Assist in the recruitment and selection of candidates in
terms of applicable directives and guidelines. Process service terminations and ill-health
documentation to ensure data integrity. Assist with administering, co-ordinating and facilitating
training and development initiatives and processes in line with applicable guidelines and
directives. Assist with the typing of letters and information notes, reports as well as making copies
and taking minutes during meetings..
GENERAL:
