Job Description
THE ROLE
Project Engineers manage and coordinate all aspects of wind farm projects, from planning and design to construction and commissioning, while ensuring compliance with regulations and environmental standards. They work with the development team to deliver efficient, safe, and environmentally sustainable wind energy projects. The Intern Project Engineer role has a learning focus with the expectation of assisting experienced engineers wherever capable.
This internship is intended to provide graduates with desirable, industry-specific skills while offering them the opportunity to gain confidence in a professional environment. A can-do attitude and strong team spirit are the most vital attribute for applicants to bring to the table. Seriti Green attaches significant importance to culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in providing wind turbine layouts and energy numbers as requested by project managers and the executive for all projects across the portfolio.
Work alongside project engineers and lenders’ advisors to ensure that wind data and energy numbers are bankable and acceptable to lenders.
Liaise with the Windlab WindScape team to ensure ongoing uniformity of work and that international best practices are applied in energy modelling.
Undertake accompanied site visits to assess proposed turbine and monitoring locations.
Assist with the planning and coordination of on-site services such as monitoring campaigns, geotechnical assessments and other engineering activities.
Assist with work required for development approvals (noise assessments, visual impact modelling, mapping, wind turbine layouts etc.).
Assist with the management of the Seriti Green in-field monitoring portfolio (checking for equipment failure and organising maintenance).
Assist in providing GIS support/mapping (GIS experience is not a requirement).
Provide other support for the project engineering and development teams as requested.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Relevant Degree level qualification in Engineering.
Ensure a minimum aggregate score of 70%.
Basic knowledge of Python or equivalent coding languages.
High ethical standards as indicated by Seriti Green safety, personnel, and community values.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Ability to think and act logically on required tasks.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to frequently travel to site at company’s expense.
Flexibility with regards to working hours to accommodate stakeholder availability and travel requirements.
Valid driver’s license.
