Note:

Applicants may be subjected to a practical test. Applicants who had participated in an EPWP internship of 24 months and more before will not be considered.

Duties

Control and Maintain order in and screen patients in the waiting areas. Welcome patients and visitors and direct clients to appropriate clinics. Provide updates to patients and their families regarding waiting times. Provide clean cups for water and deliver parcels when required. Check environment for broken equipment and report it to the relevant manager.


Knowledge and Skills

Good communication skills. Good understanding of how the public health service functions. Knowledge of health-related problems. Being able to cope under pressure.

Requirements

Grade 12 Senior Certificate (or equivalent). Must be Unemployed. Must be between the age of 18 to 35. Must reside in the Western Cape Province. Must have accommodation in the Cape Metro area. Experience in a hospital environment will be advantageous. Must be willing to perform shift duties (after-hours/weekends and public holidays).

Remuneration: R 50 847 per annum Annual salary plus 37% in lieu of service benefits.
