Duties and responsibilities: • Provide professional friendly customer service via email and telephone. • Assist with all registration, applications, graduation and related activities. • Provide daily administrative support, including data capturing. • Ensure that all precautions for data confidentiality are maintained. • Identify missing data, inconsistencies and correct errors. • Handle general enquiries (telephonic, written and electronic). • Make use of the library FAQ’s website information and data sources in order to ensure consistent and accurate responses to customers. • Escalate complaints and non-standard queries to the appropriate line manager. • Ensure one-day turnaround time in response to customer queries. • It will be required of the successful candidates to work overtime as and when required. • Demonstrate data capturing speed and accuracy.
Inherent requirements: • Grade 12 on NQF Level 4. • A minimum of one (6) months relevant experience in a customer service environment and data capturing. • No registered students Required competencies: • Business Acumen: - Proficient in using MS Office. - The ability to adhere to rules and strictly follow work regulations • Results Orientated: - The ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations. - The ability to be reliable, responsible, dependable and to fulfil obligations. - The ability to be reliable, responsible, dependable and to fulfil obligations Recommendations: • Post-school qualification or two (2) years’ administrative work experience. • Good communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University's richly diverse working environment. Salary: The annual remuneration package, including benefits is: R179 819.26– R301 475.48 depending on the budget available for the position, experience and qualifications.
