Subject : Call for Unemployed Security Officers to apply for End-user Computing and upgrading of PSiRA Grades
The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) has partnered with Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) for training of unemployed security officers in end-user computing and for upgrading PSiRA grades. As this intervention serves as a catalyst for job creation, the authority encourages all eligible unemployed security officers to apply who previously contributed to the UIF.
The programme is intended to assist the security officers with Grade E certificate to attain higher Grades (D-C) which will enable them to be employable. To qualify for an upgrade you must:
(a) be a South African
(b) have a grade E PSIRA certificate,
(c) be registered security officer that was previously contributing to UIF
(d) with proof of previous employment,
(e) up to date with PSiRA annual fees .
(g) Grade 12/Matric or equivalent qualification
For one to qualify for end-user computing programme, he/she should have beenregistered with UIF by the previous employer.
Applications
Each application must be accompanied by a CV, certified copies of certificates and be addressed to UIF.project@psira.co.za or hand delivered at any PSiRA Office closest to you. Please ensure that your applications are clearly marked for the attention of - PSiRA/UIF Project Office.
The closing date for all applications is 30 June 2023. Your participation in the programme will ensure that the industry is transformed and also contribute to the upskilling of the security officers to access job opportunities.
