UKZN invites unemployed Graduates to apply for this PYEI programme

PRESIDENTIAL YOUTH EMPLOYMENT INITIATIVE (PYEI)

The University of KwaZulu-Natal, in partnership with the Department of Higher Education and Training, seeks to provide unemployed university graduates employment and on the job training, as part of the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI) to mitigate the devastating economic challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Who are we looking for?

If you are between the ages of 18 and 35, currently unemployed, not studying full time, nor receiving any form of a government grant (including NSFAS), young persons living with disability and women, you are eligible and encouraged to apply. In addition, you must have

• completed your qualification (Higher Certificate, Diploma or Degree) and provide proof of same.

• an excellent ability to work with people and within groups;

• good communication skills, be a good listener; and

• an interest in serving the university community.

1 Bachelor Degree or equivalent: in the field of Administration.

Macroeconomics

Research Unit in the School of Accounting, Economics & Finance - Ref: CLMS/PYEI02/2023

1 Bachelor Degree or equivalent: in the field of Administration.

Graduate School Customer Service - Intern - Ref: PYEI03/2023

1 • A tertiary qualification that shows exposure to either Consumer Studies and or Customer Service

The discipline of Information Systems & Technology - College of Law and Management Studies - Ref: CLMS/PYEI 04/2023

1 • Qualification should show exposure to Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Social media management

• Experience with using social media/professional platforms for marketing and/or promotion purposes

CLMS Student Support Services - Ref: CLMS/PYEI01/2023

1 Bachelor Degree or equivalent: in the field of Administration.

Macroeconomics Research Unit in the School of Accounting, Economics & Finance - Ref: CLMS/PYEI02/2023

1 Bachelor Degree or equivalent: in the field of Administration.
