Job Title: TM3 LHD OPERATOR
Department: Mining

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To safely load and transport broken ore in an underground mine.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 10 /NQF Level 2 with LHD license is essential.
Grade 12 /NQF 4 with LHD license would be an advantage.
An LHD Operator who have completed 4 - 6 months LHD operator training module is essential.
RFAC (Rehabilitation Fitness Assessment certificate) and HTS (Heat Tolerance Screening.
VTS Testing Suitable Grading (Dover).
COMPETENCIES:
Roadway maintenance and building skills.
Machine & Tyre appreciation skills
Must have completed Competent B skills programme.
Proper loading and Dump truck loading techniques
Blasting assistant
Tramming techniques and procedures
Brake testing procedures
Decline / Incline parking procedures
Towing procedures
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Checking Mobile Equipment at start of shift and at end of shift for any defects
Perfuming proper machine appreciation
Constructing and maintaining proper roadways
Executing proper loading and tramming techniques.
Maintaining proper tyre appreciation.
Maintaining good housekeeping in the work environment.
To safely assist in the installation of services and loading a dump truck
To effectively communicate with the supervisor and engineering personnel
