Job Purpose

The Auditor performs both assurance and consultative audits according to the approved audit plan, audit methodology, King IV and ICIA Standards.


Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Finance or Auditing

CIA is an advantage although not a requirement


0-3 year experience years in an auditing role

Skills and Knowledge

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Project, and PowerPoint and audit system

Quality Orientation and attention to detail

Required to work overtime from time to time as per operational requirements

Flexible hours when and if required

Traveling to properties

Good Communication skills

Key Performance Areas:

Manages planning, logistics and communication of the Opening meeting to the client

Participates in the planning of the engagement and in the opening meeting with the client

Plans working papers for audits

Performs the audit in line with the approved audit methodology and IIA Standards

Manages own delivery and time for the audit

Drafts audit findings and clears these with the client and audit manager

Prepares the draft report

Manages manager and client expectations

Follows up on clients requested data and supporting documentation

Generates and provides ad hoc reports as requested by GIA management

Participates in close out meetings with clients

Ensure audit file is accurate,complete and closed timely.

Understands the data points and the flow of business processes

Identifies CAATs audit tests applicable on the engagement

Maintains the integrity of the data and the collection process

Identifies and participates in activities for own development in line with Sun International€™s specifications

Maintain CPD hours as required by IIA and other professional bodies

Keeps up to date with latest principles, methodologies, industry and professional knowledge
