Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) and environmental guidelines in a workplace.

Job Description

• Identify potential hazards in the workplace and assess the risk levels associated with them.

• Inspect the workplace to ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Investigate, document and recommend corrective actions of the accidents in the workplace.

• Train employees on how to safely perform their tasks and what to do in emergencies.

• Check sub-contractor compliance.

• Conduct regular drills (e.g., fire drills) to prepare employees for emergency situations.

  
  

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade: 12 Matric Certificate.

• ISO 14001 & 45001.

  
  

Skills:

• Attention to detail.

• Computer Literate.

• Good report writing skills.

• Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills.

• Work independently though being a team player.

• Knowledge of the OHS.

• Investigating skills.

• Root cause analysis.

  
  

Experience:

• Experience on a production site - 2 years.
