Job Req Id: 116359 Closing date: 28 March 2023 Operating Entinty: EOP: Mining, Various Mines Org Structure Number: 65008506 Geographical area: Mpumalanga & Free State Purpose of the job: To support mining operations by ensuring the best machine availability and reliability through planned maintenance. Specific experience required:

  • Proven experience of underground Coal Mining activities

  • Proven track record of LHD equipment, maintenance and supervisory experience

  • Experience of Sasol Mining processes and methods.

  • Maintenance of underground diesel equipment

  • Organisation of activities in supporting the production units

  • HIRAC processes

Required outputs: Functional

  • Manage, control and maintain diesel equipment in area of responsibility

  • Safety management

  • Ensure that COP’s and SOP’s are understood and adhered to

  • Adhere to ISO standards

Qualifications and expertise required (Must)

  • Grade 12 / N3 with English/ Business English, Maths and Physical/Engingeering Science

  • Valid red ticket

  • Valid first aid certificate (Wish)

  • Qualified Artisan: Trade Tested Electromechanic (Must)

  • 5 years' experience as an Artisan (Electomechanic)

  • Valid driver’s license and own transport

  • Mining experience

  • Exposure in a Leadership role will be an added advantage

  • SAP knowledge

  • (JSA) and SLAM Risk assessment and SOP's

General:

  • Accurate and realistic maintenance and overhaul plan and budget and forecasting

  • Ensure maximum availability and reliability of equipment

  • Conformance to all legal, statutory and Sasol requirements

  • Provide specific expertise and in-section coaching and training on complex repairs

  • Evaluate personnel training needs, schedule for training and coach sub-ordinates towards requirements for next higher level

  • Willing to work after hours if required
