Closing Date: 03 February 2022 Digital Channel Management Graduate Trainee Org Structure No: 65013468 OME: Corporate Centre - HR & SR Business Unit: Corp Centre - Brand & Communications City/ Town: Sandton Short Description / Purpose of Job The main purpose of this role is to support the Digital Channel specialist to protect, enhance and grow Sasol’s reputation through the development and management of a world-class digital channel framework to ensure the seamless delivery of messaging across Sasol.com, the Global Intranet, Snapcomms, and other relevant or new communication channels. Act as webmaster for Content Management Systems (CMS) on Sasol.com and Intranet, including relevant internal SharePoint sites with technical administration and management of Drupal, Wordpress and Sharepoint systems. Give direction and provide the necessary support to Business Units/ Functions, pertaining to group initiatives or projects, or assist with shaping and aligning Business Unit / Function channels. Plan, manage and implement content on all channels in collaboration with communication/ brand marketing subject matter experts to raise brand profile through thoughtful creative conceptualization and execution of the Sasol’s online materials. Recruitment Description/ Key Accountabilities Strategy Ensure that group wide campaigns are delivered on all relevant channels in collaboration with the communication and brand marketing subject matter experts. Channel framework Responsible for developing the channel framework and execution of content across digital channels to support the overall content strategy including posting of articles, newsletters, reports campaign updates and other relevant material. Technological savvy Experience working with content management systems (CMS) such as SharePoint, Drupal, Wordpress. Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote), Visio, Microsoft Project. In-depth understanding of mobile apps and responsive design principles. Exposure to HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Agile or Scrum is preferred. Basic understanding of SEO principles. Knowledge and hands-on understanding of inbound marketing systems including CMS, CRM, ERM, broadcast email and social media. Comfort in the use of web analytics tools to ensure content is placed appropriately to suit the needs of channel audiences. Content development and delivery to channels Plan, manage and implement content on all channels in collaboration with communication/ brand marketing subject matter experts to raise brand profile through thoughtful creative conceptualization and execution of the Sasol’s online materials. Ability to repurpose content as required and to respond timeously, particularly in the event of an emergency or reputational risk, to provide content to relevant employees. Develop material for channels where required on graphic design tools including full Adobe suite. Channel management Act as webmaster for Content Management Systems (CMS) on Sasol.com and Intranet, including relevant internal SharePoint sites with technical administration and management of Drupal, Wordpress and Sharepoint systems. Give the necessary support to Business Units/ Functions, pertaining to group initiatives or projects. Ensure that relevant messages from the Business Unit/ Function that should be communicated to wider Sasol audiences, is relevant, accurate and published / disseminated as agreed. Measurement of impact and effectiveness Monitor the effectiveness of the channel framework through measurement, by analysing data and conducting regular channel surveys. Interpretation of results and the ability to recommend further actions and interventions in response to those results. Monitor relevant trends and employee behaviour. Research new channels that can benefit employee engagement and implement where appropriate. Actively investigating new channels and updating all existing channels. Project management Develop and maintain project plans including scheduling, and resourcing for communication campaigns, new channel development and existing channel enhancements.
