Competencies/Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrate an understanding of nursing

as determined by the relevant health facility. Computer literacy (Ms Word, Ms

Excel). Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of

practice and standards as determined by the relevant health facility. Have

knowledge of surveillance and provide training in the context of infection

prevention and control.

DUTIES : Provide optimal, holistic, specialized nursing care with set standards and within a

professional/legal framework. Effective utilization of resources. Participate in

training and research. Provide support to nursing services. Maintain professional

growth/ethical standards and self-development. Act as shift leader in the unit

(where necessary) Demonstrate effective communication with patients,
