Job description

To render and maintain effective and efficient procurement function that will ensure value for money when acquiring assets, goods and services. Engage internal and External stakeholders to determine procurement needs. Prepare and maintain purchase records and reports. Conduct review and analysis of end user specification for goods and services. Review Purchase requisitions for complete and accurate information. Expedite Purchase Orders. Issue Request for quotations, conduct evaluations and process purchase orders. Reconcile or resolve discrepancies between Purchase Order to delivery note/Invoice. Identify possible volume purchase at lower prices within certain period.

 Performs routine administrative duties. Assist in Tender administration. Ensure implementation of ATNS procurement policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with PFMA,PPPFA, BBBEE and other relevant government supply chain legislations.    Develop and maintain a BEE procurement statistics report.

Stakeholder engagement. Resolve queries raised by End user departments. Engage end users on procurement systems e.g. System changes and upgrades. Engage relevant stakeholders and maintain an effective working relationship with suppliers as and when required include site visits should it be required.

Maintain the supplier database on Oracle. Maintain supplier data base by their current BBBEE score (e.g. Excel spreadsheet for quick calculation on BBBEE). Record the status of all suppliers on a procurement data base and apply relevant criteria. Maintain procurement statistics report

Minimum requirements

Minimum Qualifications

National Diploma in SCM or equivalent

Minimum Experience

3 years’ experience in a procurement environment
