Purpose
Requirements
Project Orientated –Fixed Term Contract (9 months)
Key Responsibilities
· Sets out the work area in accordance to Site Plans.
· Makes use of hand and power tools to cut and bend bars.
· Ties steel reinforcement bars (rebars) to build casts for concreting.
· Fits spacers and chairs (supports)
· Reading and interpreting reinforcement steel drawings
· Fixing steel to concrete bases
· Installing beams and pre-cast slabs
· Ensure that the installation site is left clean and tidy.
· Must safeguard Company property, tools, and equipment.
· Must comply to Company policies, safety specifications and procedures.
Qualifications/Experience Minimum Requirements:
Relevant training certificates
Matric will be advantageous.
Job Requirements:
· Must be able to read and work to technical plans.
· Must have an understanding and use of hand tools and fastening materials used, and whatthe correct descriptions of materials are.
Personal Attributes:
· Ability to work in a team.
· Ability to work independently.
· Willingness to work overtime and shifts.
· Ability to work under challenging conditions.
· Must have basic knowledge of Health & Safety rules.
· Good communication skills
· In good health and physically fit
· Must be able to work at heights and work according to technical plans.
Safety Responsibilities
· Has a legal obligation to report any deviations that could lead to an incident and/or accident.
· Has a legal obligation to participate in safety training to improve safety standards.

· Has a legal obligation to adhere to the company’s health and safety procedures.
· Must participate in completing Risk Assessments to identify risks and hazards.
· Has a responsibility to look after his/her own safety and other employees.
