JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key performance areas include but are not limited to:
• Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, computers, instruments, and workstations relevant to modules
such as Electrical Machines, Power Systems, and Digital Systems.
• Assist in upgrading and adapting lab setups to accommodate experimentation where applicable.
• Guide students through correct procedures in simulation, circuit assembly, and fault-finding exercises,
especially in project environments.
• Support students in project-based learning, including access to components, software platforms (e.g.,
MATLAB, LabVIEW, Proteus), and prototyping tools.
• Facilitate access to computing and design environments for modules like Computing Applications 2 and
Networks 2.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, damages, and maintenance logs, as well as assessment
records per experiment.
APPLICATION CRITERIA:
Qualification
• Bachelor's/ BTech degrees/Advanced Diploma (BEng/ BTech) in Electrical Power/ Computer Systems
Engineering.
Experience:
• A minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in an institute of higher education, OR two (2) years of
professional industrial experience.
• Evidence of successful teamwork experience.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, teamwork skills, teaching skills, reflexivity competencies, research skills, competent
organisational skills, excellent interpersonal relationship skills in a diverse work environment, presentation skills.
