This is a ring fenced post - Internal Applications are invited for this position from suitably qualified and experienced internal candidates from within Support Services. Appointment will be made in line with the new business model pay scales.


The purpose of this job is to prepare and produce quality food lines by adhering to required standards and food safety requirements in order to meet catering outlets objectives, whilst maintain a clean and hygienic work space.


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS


To prepare and produce quality menu items.

To ensure proper stock control and usage of issued ingredients.

Ensure adherence to Food Safety and OHS good practice.

Continually maintain a clean and hygienic work space, utensils and equipment

Operate in a customer focused manner.

In order to be considered for appointment to this post, candidates must:

2 – 3 years relevant experience in catering and hospitality industry as a cook or Food Service Assistant

Grade 12 or equivalent

Culinary certificate and Food Safety training would be an advantage

Must be able to work weekends and shifts
