NACOSA is looking for a suitably qualified Social Worker who will fill the role of a Linkage Officer and who resides in the regions of Alfred Ndzo, Chris Hani or OR Tambo, in the Eastern Cape, and who will support the role out and implementation of our ReACH programme.

The Linkage Officer role

•Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the clinical plan (clinical practice/quality patient care)

•Implement standards, practices, criteria and indicators for viral load collection

•Practice health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care

•Maintain accountability and responsibility for clinical care activities e.g. condoms and other Resources

•Order stock , when required

•Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders

•Utilize human, material and physical resources efficiently and effectively

•Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders within various Departments of Government



•Clinical advice, health education, care and support

•Programmatic support and clinical information to all staff

•Capacitate Programme staff on adherence support and viral load suppression

•Service delivery improvement

Required qualifications, skills and experience

•Driver’s license and own vehicle.

•Degree in Social Worker or Registered Nurse qualification
