Minimum Requirements:
Grade 10/N2 Mechanical Engineering
South African citizen
Ekurhuleni resident (Specify ward number)
Unemployed
Basic mechanical background in a workshop environment
Physical fitness and willingness to perform manual labour
Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities:
Assist mechanics and artisans with mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, pumps, and tools
Prepare work areas by cleaning and setting out tools, equipment, and parts
Maintain cleanliness and order in the workshop and work areas
Use hand tools and basic mechanical equipment
Transport tools, parts, and equipment as required
Assist with the inspection and testing of mechanical systems
Report damaged tools, equipment faults, or safety hazards to the supervisor or artisan
Comply with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and wear prescribed PPE
Complete basic job cards or task checklists when required
Assist with the preparation of the daily, weekly and monthly report.
Not currently participating in CoE Job Creation programme
Willingness to learn and take instruction from Supervisors
