Purpose of Job

As an intern, you'll play a crucial role in identifying and analysing valuable information from vast amounts of data to support business decision-making. Training will be provided to develop your knowledge of the business and industry, specific business units, systems, and technical job-related skills. Plus, you'll enhance your professional interpersonal skills, including networking, communication, and time management.


Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

Problem Formulation and Solution Development:

• Collaborate with the business to formulate and develop solutions.


Analysis:

• Conduct analysis to determine trends or patterns leading to valuable business insights.


Data Preparation and Visualisation:

• Prepare data for insights and visualisation.

• Master the art of storytelling through data visualisation.


Advanced Modeling:

• Engage in advanced modeling, including statistical, mathematical, simulation, optimisation, forecasting, and decision & fault trees.


Advanced Analytics:

• Explore advanced analytics such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, image analysis, and business process analysis


Skills

Ability to problem-solve creatively.

Strong communication skills.

Proficiency in mathematical and statistical modeling.

Wish list

Computer programming skills (e.g., R, C++, Python).

Experience with advanced analytics and visualisation tools.

Familiarity with relevant visualisation tools (e.g., QlikView, Tableau, PowerBI).


Formal Education

BSc Hons or higher in Computer Science, BSc Hons or higher in Data Science, BSc Hons or higher in Mathematics, BSc Hons or higher in Operations Research, BSc Hons or higher in Statistics, or BEng or higher (Chemical or Industrial)
