Description
Nvirotek is recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant Level 1 to assist with the intake and physical handling of all samples upon receipt, ensuring proper preparation for laboratory intake.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
Assist with sample receipt by carrying containers with samples to designated reception areas per sample type.
Ensure sample are unpacked in correct areas and in time.
Physical/Initial preparation of samples for analyses.
Proper storage of bulk samples.
Assist in other areas when time allows or as needed.
Assist in preparation and testing of all disciplines throughout the laboratory achieved by assistance.
Responsible to adhere to requirements: Health and safety, ISO and housekeeping.
In-house training on relevant procedures will be done, competency to be proven within one month.
Requirements
National Senior Certificate.
Eager to learn.
Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
