BURSARY PROGRAMME OF UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE IN MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING OR RELATED ACCOUNTING/FINANCE STUDIES
FUNDING AMOUNT: R80,000.00
The bursary will cover studies in Management Accounting or related accounting/finance qualification. Expenses that may be covered, limited to the funding amount of R80,000.00, include tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, accommodation and meals.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying. Failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to an application not being considered.
Applicants must be: South African citizen • between the ages of 18 and 35 years • currently unemployed • intending to study towards an NQF level 5 qualification (or above) in Management Accounting or related accounting/finance studies • studying full time at a public tertiary institution (university/university of technology/ TVET College) in South Africa • persons who have achieved a minimum overall average of 50% • persons from households with income of less than R600 000 per annum.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE BURSARY: Applicants must submit clear copies of the following documentation. If any of these documents is missing,the application will be disregarded.
Certified copies of: ID Document • Matric certificate/results, if entering the first year of study • latest tertiary academic record, if second or subsequent year of tertiary study • parents/guardian ID documents.
Further copies required: applicants must also submit proof of acceptance from their tertiary institution, for first year and returning students • parents/guardians proof of income (latest payslip, etc.) • the name of the Municipality where the applicant resides.
The closing date for the submission of all applications is 07 February 2020 at 12:00pm. No late applications will be accepted.
