The Opportunity

This position works out of our Johannesburg location in the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics division. In this division our rapid diagnostics solutions are helping address some of the world’s greatest healthcare challenges. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe.

The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key heath and therapeutic areas, including infections disease, cardiometabolic, informatics and toxicology.

The Human Resource Intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Human Resources administration of records & system as required.

  • Administrative task’s include maintaining personnel records, managing HR Documents (e.g., employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases.

  • Should be able to ensure the HR department supports employees while conforming to labor laws.

  • Ad hoc projects including assisting the HRD with audit information gathering and tracking thereof.

  • Any other Ad hoc duties related to the department.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or Related


Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic Computer Skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • NO experience is preferred- i.e., the organization is seeking to hire newly graduated candidates.

  • Must live in Johannesburg.

  • Excellent time management skills, be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Good communication skill.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.

  • Energetic, highly motivated.

  • Strong attention to detail
