PURPOSE

The purpose of this 12 months graduate programme is to provide support to the Sales Division to ensure successful implementation of business initiatives or programmes that meet SABC's objectives. National Diploma/bachelor’s degree (NQF 6/7) in financial management or relevant qualification and looking to enhance their skills and experience in the work environment.



ABOUT THE TEAM

To monitor the pricing and ensure it is in line with Sales Division Pricing Strategies.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Implementation of organisational pricing strategy and rate cards across all platforms.

• Develop and generate input for pricing strategy.

• Proactive report creation i.e. inflation, forecasting, sell-out analysis and cost efficiency

• Report on revenue and commercial inventory status.

• Revenue projection and program business plans.

• Track and report on the impact of adopted pricing strategy.

• Benchmark against industry best practice and interpret market conditions.

• Loading rates on landmark.

• Inventory management and develop sales packages.

• Provide monthly reports indicating challenges and achievements.

• Develop and maintain healthy relations with different sales divisions as well as SABC platforms.

• Attend to complains and queries relating to pricing and inventory management.

• Adherence to pricing strategy across all SABC Television, Radio and other medium product offering.

• Serve as key custodian on pricing for commercial airtime.

• Review, update and ensure compliance to pricing related policies.

• Analyse and assess external and internal regulations and its impact on pricing.


INHERENT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• National Diploma/bachelor’s degree (NQF 6/7) in financial management or Statistics or relevant qualification.

• Pricing modelling qualification (advantage).

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Advanced Power BI proficiency.

• PowerPoint compilation and strong presentation skills.

• Knowledge of the broadcast and media industry is an added advantage.

• Exceptional analytical skills.

• Strong commercial orientation.

• Project management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Report writing and attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of socio-economic factors and their impact on achieving sustainable growth for the organisation.

• Focuses on costs, profit markets and new opportunities that will bring large returns.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with short delivery timelines.

• Self-efficacy is essential.
