Knowledge and Training
The incumbent will be required to undergo Process safety and SHEQ related training as part of his/her continuous development.
The incumbent will be expected to develop knowledge of SHEQ Management systems (e.g. ISO, PSM, CAIA, etc.) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and associated regulations.
Your Role Your main tasks will be related to Process Safety Management,
Support the development, delivery, and adoption of a structured process safety management system.
Participate in the design and implementation of Group HSE programs related to Process Safety management.
Assist in the roll-out of process safety elements as required.
Assist the business to develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures and programs.
Participate in internal and external process safety audits.
Support in the development of the process safety performance leading and lagging Indicators for relevant areas.
Support with the investigation of any process safety Incidents to identify root causes and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Take ownership and deliver assigned projects to agreed timescales.
Support with the close out of process safety and SHEQ related actions.
The incumbent will be required to assist the SHEQ Department with occupational safety, health and environmental aspects where required.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum education Grade 12
Relevant tertiary qualification in the Engineering field, preferably Chemical.
Must be fully computer literate MS Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
