Vacancy 4- Information Technology Intern

The South African Pharmacy Council invites applications for internships as advertised for a period of twelve (12) months.

Division: Information Technology

Stipend: R7 280

Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related qualification


Competencies:

knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, ability to work under pressure, good verbal and written communication skills, analytical, and attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software.

  • Provide technical support to staff, diagnosing and resolving IT-related issues.

  • Provide support in maintaining and troubleshooting the network, server, and hardware infrastructure.

  • Conduct research on new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance the IT infrastructure.

  • Assist in data analysis, reporting and dashboard creation to support data-driven business decisions.

  • Support with the configuration, monitoring and user management of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, Intune and Teams.

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring security measures to protect SAPC data and IT systems.

  • Contribute to the design, coding, testing, and documentation of internal software tools and applications.

  • Support with the implementation and enforcement of IT policies, compliance processes and project management.

  • Assist in providing technical support and troubleshooting the telephony system including IP phones, PABX and voicemail services.

  • Reports to the Manager Information Technology on all matters regarding KPAs
