Purpose of the Job To provide an opportunity for graduates to obtain relevant practical work experience by contributing to the maintenance of a structured safety system to ensure legal compliance and creating a safe and healthy working environment.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Relevant NQF level 7 qualification in Safety Management from an approved tertiary institution is essential.
Good understanding and technical knowledge within the field of study.
Medically fit for Base and or Precious Metal Refinery.
Training Programme / Duties and Responsibilities
Twenty four (24) months internship with a set training programme that will enhance general knowledge of the platinum industry.
The programme will also provide sound understanding on safety systems, auditing and investigation techniques including conducting risk assessments, advising management and employees on SHE best practises and ensuring implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSH).
Involvement in the process safety system implementation, updating Isometrix database, attending HAZOP’s and conducting ISO audits.
