URPOSE OF THE JOB
The HR Officer will be responsible for management of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Office. S/he manages the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programmes. This role co-ordinates and supports the following functional areas: Recruitment and Selection, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Employee Relations, Training and Development, Benefits compensation, Organisational Development, Governance and Audit functions and monthly organizational and corporate reporting requirements.
We are currently in the process of identifying high caliber candidates within the HR Department space. A minimum of three to five years experience in a same/similar role is required. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree or equivalent in HR/Labour Relations/Psychology or a related field. The incumbent will have solid knowledge of key HR functions. Previous work experience in the mining industry will be advantageous. The incumbent must have a valid driver’s license.
KEY PERFRORMANCE AREA
As the Human Resources Officer, the incumbent will contribute to developing an organizational culture that attracts and retain top caliber talent. S/he will continuously monitor evaluate and contribute to the nurturing of key relationships to maintain good industrial relations with key stakeholders. S/he will contribute to the development and implementation of competency frameworks and job profiling. The incumbent will assist line management in selecting appropriate employees who fit the organizational culture with appropriate selection practices. S/he will be responsible for contributing to effective employee onboarding and ongoing training and development opportunities in line with organization and employee needs. The ideal incumbent will possess leadership qualities, strong administrative and high-level interpersonal skills. An ability to communicate effectively, strong analytical excel skills, business acumen and an ability to self-manage workload, priorities, and work will be key success factors.
