Job Purpose: As an Online Chat Agent, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to customers through phone, email, or internet chat systems, fostering a "right first time" culture throughout the customer journey while dealing with inquiries, queries, and issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive and Respond to Customer Queries: Respond to a high volume of online chats and liaise with customers on sales and aftersales queries. Take ownership to reach a suitable resolution for all queries/concerns. Ensure accurate logging of customer queries as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Document Issues and Resolutions. Document each customer's inquiry, as well as the solution, in addition to providing real-time support.

  • Keep updated knowledge of New Products and Services. Stay up to date on all the company's products and services to assist customers as effectively as possible.

  • Identify Possible Website Errors. Report website mistakes and other technological issues to the IT department as soon as possible so that the problem can be resolved.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Matric/ Tertiary qualification.


Client required equipment:

  • Applicants should have a laptop or a desktop PC - tablets are not supported.

  • The applicant should have stable internet and data connection.

  • Applicants should have Chrome installed on their PC.

Key Competencies

  • Must be able to type 40 words per minute.

  • Computer skills, data entry, and word-processing.

  • Detail-oriented, able to follow explicit directions.

  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and weekends.

  • Effective organisational and time management skills.
