Position7 x Residential Healthcare Workers


Introduction

Vacancies exist for Residential Healthcare Workers (x7) at Life Nkanyisa, Baneng Care Centre in Roodepoort. These positions report to the Unit Manager. The purpose of this role is to conduct nursing activities to ensure quality patient care.


Critical Outputs

  • Conduct duties to meet the requirements of quality patient care

  • Ensuring that all nursing activities carried out comply with relevant legislations and Life Healthcare policies and procedures

  • Maintain all health, safety and infection control standards to ensure a safe patient environment

  • Effective communication skills

  • Effective observation skills

  • Accurate record-keeping

  • Quality clinical MHCU care

  • Participate in training and development as arranged/In-service training

  • Performing MHCU’s Activities of Daily Living

  • Stock management and record-keeping

  • Assisting with duties as delegated by ward in charge


Requirements

  • Grade 12

  • Relevant Care Worker Certificate

  • The successful candidate will have to work day and night shift

  • Must be able to work under pressure

  • Ethical and professional behavior towards MHCU’s and staff

  • Good work habits and good attendance record

  • Team worker with knowledge of a rehabilitation program within a psychiatric facility
