The Department of Landscape Services has 20 permanent positions of Grounds Keeper based at Pretoria Campus, Directorate Building and Estate.
INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants are required to submit together with the CVs, a standardized application form available from the university intranet as well as recently certified copies of qualifications and Identity Document. Failure to comply with this instruction will disqualify the candidate.
Critical Performance Areas
• General garden maintenance
• Cleaning of garden beds and surrounds
• Maintenance of gardens and trees
• Sweeping and blowing of hard surface areas
• Litter removal and control
• Pest and weed control
• Sport field maintenance
• Ad-hoc duties assigned by team leaders
Minimum Requirements
Academic qualification
• NQF Level 4 (Grade 9/ ABET Level 4 National Certificates)
• General Education and Training
Experience
• 1 year relevant experience
Knowledge and Skills
• Must be physically strong for hard labour in adverse weather conditions.
