Graduate Programme Area: Information Management

Sub Area of Graduate Programme: Business Intelligence (BI)



A highly motivated recent graduate with strong proficiency in Power BI and SQL, capable of creating insightful reports and extracting meaningful data efficiently. Knowledge of Python and R is highly beneficial, enabling them to perform advanced data analysis and automation tasks. Experience working with large and complex datasets is a plus, demonstrating their ability to handle data volume and complexity.


They exhibit exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and data integrity in all deliverables. This graduate is naturally curious and open to asking questions and actively gaining knowledge from peers, mentors, and external resources.


With a keen interest in data science, AI, and emerging market trends, they stay up-to-date on industry developments, which informs their analytical approach and business understanding.


They are outcome-focused, driven to deliver actionable insights that support business goals. They demonstrate strong self-management skills, taking ownership of their tasks and deliverables.


Excellent communication and collaboration skills enable them to work cross-functionally and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.



Minimum Qualifications:

A degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or a related quantitative field. Demonstrated coursework or projects in data analysis, databases, data visualization and business strategy. Dashboards, reports, or case studies that showcase analytical thinking and visualization skills.




Main Accountabilities:

1. Data Collection & Preparation

a. Support the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data from various internal and external sources

b. Assist in maintaining data accuracy, completeness and integrity

c. Clean, validate and standardize data for use in reporting and analysis


2. Reporting & Dashboard Support

a. Contribute to the development, maintenance and enhancement of BI reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Denodo and SQL

b. Help ensure reports are accurate, up-to-date and aligned with business requirements

c. Responding to ad-hoc data requests from stakeholders with guided support from the team


3. Data Analysis & Insight Generation

a. Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for business improvement

b. Support BI developers in translating data into actionable insights for stakeholders across departments

c. Assist in preparing summary findings and visualizations for decision-making


4. Stakeholder Collaboration

a. Participate in meetings with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and understand business context

b. Translate business questions into data-related tasks with supervision

c. Communicate data findings clearly, both verbally and in written form

5. Documentation & Knowledge Management

a. Document processes, queries, data definitions and report specifications to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing

b. Maintain version control and change logs for datasets and dashboards

6. Continuous Learning & Development

a. Proactively develop technical and business knowledge relevant to BI function

b. Participate in training sessions, mentorship opportunities and team knowledge-sharing practices

c. Stay informed about new tools, trends and best practices in BI and analytics

7. Compliance & Data Governance

a. Follow data privacy, security and governance guidelines as defined by the organization

b. Assist in ensuring BI outputs are compliant with relevant policies and standards
