Description Position: General Worker (Non-renewal contract) Department: Economic Development Division: Roads & Stormwater - Maintenance Salary: R4 356 per month Primary Location : South Africa-Gauteng-Corporate

Core Responsibilities:

  • Repairing of tar roads (Parching of pothole)

  • Mix and lay slurry, Sweep and clean gutters, streets, and sidewalks.

  • Offload clean and store equipment and tools.

  • Exposure of services and Installation of kerbs

  • Lay and construct stormwater systems.

  • Cleaning of Storm-water systems.

  • Perform manual labour duties associated with earth-moving equipment.

  • Painting of road markings.

  • Install and replace traffic signs.

  • Pre - assembling of traffic signs.

Note: The posts as advertised are under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and for a period limited up to June 2024 Applicants are limited to apply for only one category. Applicants MUST NOT be active on the CoE HR System when programme commences


Qualifications Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 10

  • Experience working in community infrastructure maintenance projects.

  • South African Identity Document.

  • Resident of City of Ekurhuleni.

  • Must be based in one of the 112 wards (Specify Ward Number)
