DATE OF DISTRIBUTION: 12.06.2023 CLOSING DATE: 21.06.2023 DEPARTMENT / DOMAIN: Human Resources / Training and Development COMMENCEMENT DATE: Potentially Aug / Sep 2023 PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide an opportunity for successful candidates to participate in a Mechanical Engineering (Fitting) learnership programme in order to attain artisanship by means of trade testing. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Completed N2 or NCV4 certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
Subjects at N2 level: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Fitting trade theory, Engineering Drawing;
Must have a basic understanding of the applicable trade.
Medically fit for both plants (BMR and PMR)
TRAINING PROGRAMME / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Thirty six (36) months learnership with a set training programme under the auspices of the MQA.
The learnership will also provide the incumbent with a sound understanding on how to perform first line maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure the plant / operations performance is maintained within normal operating parameters.
