PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide an opportunity for successful candidates to participate in a Rigging engineering learnership programme to attain artisanship by means of trade testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Completed N2 or NCV4 certificate in Rigging
Subjects at N2 level: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Riggers trade theory, Engineering drawing.
Must have a basic understanding of the applicable trade.
Medically fit for both plants at the Refineries and mining operations.
TRAINING PROGRAMME / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Forty-Two (42) months learnership with a set training programme under the auspices of the Mining Qualification Authority (SETA).
The learnership will also provide the incumbent with a sound understanding on how to properly install and maintain lifting equipment and to safely apply various safe lifting techniques to move machinery and equipment of various sizes within a plant.
