Introduction

Reporting to the Manager: Technical Operations.


On-Air Graphics Operator is responsible for operating and flighting created graphics in on-air or live production and pre-recorded environments.



1.Preparation

•Restarting the viz machine.

•Loading and testing the rundown

•Ensuring that all the graphics elements are loaded

•Ensuring all spelling for graphics are correct.

•Running on air tests when required.

•Checking all graphics before going to air



2.Coordination

•Completing graphics requests using provided templates on the Graphic Computers, as per the required standards.

•Operating graphics play-out computers during live and pre-recorded programs.

•Building animations using template driven computer graphics.

•Typing in all titles, supers and credits

Requirements

Education: Matric – Diploma/Degree in Film and Television

Languages: Business English

Experience: Minimum of 2 year television broadcast experience

•Good communication skills

•Must be able to work in live and pre-record environment

•Must be able to work under pressure

•Able to work with crew and editorial staff
