CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – OPERATION FOOD KIOSK ( PILOT )
The Office of the Premier is currently intensifying initiatives towards training, skills development for job creation and employment for Eastern Cape Youth and therefore invites all interested youth of the Province to apply for participating in the youth entrepreneurship program. The program's aim is to train and empower the youth through entrepreneurship and enterprise development.
Applicants must be from previously disadvantaged group within BCM
Age Group Between 24 and 35
Youth with disabilities are encouraged to apply
Unemployed youth / Graduates with entrepreneurial experience
Must demonstrate capacity to be able to run the Business establishment
May apply as a group of not more than 3
Must not be working for any government spheres
Must have potential to create job opportunities.
Ability to sustain and maintain the business
Must be willing to participate in mentorship programmes

Running of a Fully equipped kiosk container located in Bhisho with the following package:
Stoves, Microwave, build in fridge, warmers, displayers, start-up grocery, crockery and cutlery business registration, Food handling training, business training, Delivery scooter, start- up marketing material
Terms and Conditions of Application
Commitment to ensure effective and productive usage of all equipment or assets provided (assets may be confiscated if not used productively/misused
Beneficiaries to sign an agreement with the OTP which gives the Department access to financial, production and sales records and assets of the business till such a time that the business is officially handed over to the beneficiaries.
Commitment to allow the Department access to the business for monitoring purposes.
Commitment to participate in the capacity building and training programmes facilitated by the Department and its commodity partners.
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to undergo a pitching and interview process for final determination of beneficiaries.
It should be noted that this is not an employment opportunity thus no stipend or salary will be paid to the beneficiaries by the OTP.

All applications must be completed fully and submitted via hand delivery at the office of the premier.
The deadline for the submission of applications is: 25 SEPTEMBER 2020 at 15:00 hour’s local time. Any application submitted after the deadline or does not meet any of the above requirement will not be considered.
