1. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine is offering bursary opportunity to high performing and financially needy students who are currently in Grade 12, 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year of study. The bursary opportunity is open for South African students who are accepted or registered for an undergraduate qualification at an accredited university.


2. WORK OF ROLE

- Adhere to company’s terms and conditions of the student bursary agreement and fixed-term employment contract

- Complete assigned projects on time

- Ensure consistent high academic and on-the-job performance

- Initiate on-the-job development discussions and seek feedback from supervisor or coach

- Pass at least 60% average of all subjects / modules to secure continuation of financial assistance in the following academic year’ semester

- Take full ownership of their learning


3. QUALIFICATIONS

- 60% Average om Grade 12 results

- 60% Average in 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of study in Communication


A. COMMENTS

- Preference will be given to applicants staying near or around Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine


B. BURSARY WILL COVER

- Full accommodation (not covered during vacation work)

- Full registration and tuition

- Textbooks

- Monthly allowance

- Learning material and equipment as prescribed by the learning institution

- Relevant workplace exposure through structured vacation work at SBPM


C. DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

- Completed application document

- Acceptance letter or proof of registration from university

- Valid South African Identity document (SA Citizen)

- Grade 12 report or academic record

- Proof of residence

- Proof of household income
