Employment Type CIPLA Medpro South Africa Pty (Ltd) is awarding bursaries to students who are studying towards a qualification at an accredited PUBLIC tertiary learning institution. CIPLA bursaries are awarded to academically astute students registering for their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. year of studies in 2022.

Cipla Bursars are considered the ‘talent pipeline’ to our graduate program, and thus are afforded the opportunity to be pre-selected for the graduate program. Cipla Bursary funding includes funding for tuition, books, accommodation and meals.

Bursar Accountabilities Students who successfully apply and receive funding from Cipla SA are required to:

  • Apply for funding via our online application portal and if application for funding is approved, complete a bursary agreement.

  • During the funding ‘tenure’, bursars are required to:

    • Communicate any other information which directly or indirectly impacts the agreement between ourselves and the bursar.

    • Maintain a 70% average each year to qualify for continued funding

    • Declare alternative funding and related contractual obligations

    • Communicate quarterly about subject or field of study changes; postal and physical address and contact detail changes; mid- and final-year exam results; studying status

    • Attend scheduled continuous development virtual workshops

    • Be available for vac work

  • Graduating CIPLA funded students are required to apply to the CIPLA Graduate Program.

Education Qualification Bursars who are studying in the following fields will be considered: Computer and Information Sciences | Engineering | Economic Management Sciences – Finance & Accounting, Business studies | Graphic Design | Health Sciences | Human Sciences, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources | Manufacturing – logistics; demand planning | production; warehousing | Natural Sciences | Pharmacists (completed internship and community service) | Social Sciences - Digital Marketing and Communications | Supply Chain | Science

Vacation Work CIPLA funded students may be expected to work at CIPLA during specified vacations. This will be communicated and negotiated in advance with the relevant student.

Criteria As part of your application, please provide clear copies of these mandatory documents in PDF format.

  • SA ID document (Be a SA citizen between the ages of 18–33)

  • Matric certificate

  • Latest (most recent) academic record or transcripts [A minimum overall aggregate of 70% for the most recent year completed]

  • Proof of registration at your institution of study

  • Proof that you have successfully completed your first year of studies

  • List what funding is required. All funding requests for tuition |accommodation |meals | books | laptop must be supported by a recent statement/invoice or quotation as proof

  • Each document submitted should be in pdf format and be named with your name and document type e.g. Noma_Sallie_Matric_Certificate.

  • 1-page Resume in PDF format – include *ID & mobile number; residential and email address; *race and *gender

Funding Location: Students from all South African provinces are welcome to apply

Deadline for applications: 10th to 25 November 2021
