Introduction
Barberton Mines first produced gold in 1886. The mining complex now comprises three mines: Fairview, New Consort and Sheba.
A vacancy exists for the above position. Individuals that meet the requirements are invited to apply for this position.
Purpose of Job:
To unload, record and process deliveries made to the warehouse.

Specification
Roles & Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
•Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
•Unload deliveries from incoming trucks
•Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
•Verify deliveries according to order and invoices
•Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
•Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
•Allocate received items to their designated place
•Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
•Comply to policies and procedures
•Ensure the receipt, storage and issuing of material complies with requirements for safety, accessibility and legality.
•Resolve queries promptly.
•Do Stock counts
•Ensure good housekeeping at all times
•Be a team player
•Accountability for your area
•Ad hoc stores duties as instructed by the Stores Supervisor
Requirements
Minimum Requirments:
•Grade 12 Certificate
•Relevant experience as a receiving clerk or similar position within the mining industry
•Able to perform standby duties
•Operating of forklift / willingness to be trained to operate forklift
•Valid certificate of physical fitness
