Unemployed Graduates are invited for Internship & Graduate Programmes by ARC

Agricultural Research Council has got 15 Internship Program for graduates in the following fields: Plant Biotechnology, biological sciences, plant biotechnology, horticulture, plant production and/or plant sciences, Plant breeding/ Genetics/ Crop Science, Crop Science or Horticulture. The graduates will be placed across the different ARC offices nationwide.

The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is a premier science institution that conducts research with partners, develops human capital and foster innovation in support of the agricultural sector. It provides diagnostic, laboratory, analytical, agricultural engineering services, post-harvest technology development, agrochemical evaluation, consultation and advisory services, food processing technology services as well as various surveys and training interventions. Through its wider network of research institutes and experimental farms, the ARC provides a strong scientific base and a broadly distributed technology transfer capacity to the entire agricultural industry in South Africa

DISCIPLINE Genetic Resources - Field Planting and Characterization of Imported Cassava Germplasm

QUALIFICATION BSc honours/ Postgraduate diploma in biological sciences, plant biotechnology, horticulture, plant production and/or plant sciences. Knowledge of plant physiology, field trial management skill, plant production and data collection methods. Workstation is in KZN, Hluhluwe.

DISCIPLINE Genetic Resources - Collection and Propagation of Amadumbe (Taro)

QUALIFICATION Bsc Honours/ Postgraduate Diploma in Biological Sciences, Plant Biotechnology, Horticulture, Plant Production and/or Plant Sciences. Knowledge Of Plant Physiology, Plant Collection and Glasshouse Trial Management Skill, Plant Production and Data Collection Methods. Drivers' License Required. Workstation is in Roodeplaat, North of Pretoria

DISCIPLINE Plant Breeding/ Plant Production

QUALIFICATION BSc Honours/ Post graduate Diploma in Plant breeding/ Genetics/ Crop Science or related Discipline.

DISCIPLINE Commercialisation

QUALIFICATION BSc Honours In Biological Sciences, Plant Biotechnology, Horticulture, Plant Production and/or Plant Sciences. A Strong Knowledge of Plant Biologicals, Physiology, knowledge on Plant Hormone Physiology is a differentiating advantage

QUALIFICATION Minimum BSc honours / Postgraduate Diploma in Crop Science or Horticulture or closely related field.
