The candidate will report to one of the managers in the Group Savings and Investments team. Their primary focus will be promoting and growing the Group Savings business. The individual should be a strong product and brand evangelist. To also provide strategic, technical and business analysis that will contribute towards the long-term growth and success of the Group Savings and Investment business. The person can be based in the Cape Town or Rosebank office
Drive client acquisition, mainly through a dedicated panel of EB Consultants, but also through intermediaries on BDM panels.
Develop deep relationships with the panel of consultants to make sure we become a trusted business partner to them.
Open and develop new business opportunities
Identify and develop new consultant relationships.
Provide a high level of technical employee benefit support to clients.
Drive client engagement alongside BDM’s.
Perform product comparisons and client presentations.
Understand the retirement fund market.
Perform market/industry research.
Assess the feasibility of product/new business opportunities.
Carry out internal research to understand client behaviour and product/portfolio effectiveness in meeting client needs, and to identify potential changes.
Carry out analysis and research in support of innovative and strategic projects.
Understand client needs and work alongside internal stakeholder for effective client delivery (scheme installation support)
Extensive knowledge of the Employee Benefits industry.

The candidate should have a friendly and diplomatic nature, possessing sufficient maturity to speak confidently and with empathy to intermediaries and clients, many of whom may be senior executives.
The highest standards of personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality will be essential.
The candidate, whilst needing to be able to cope with shifting priorities will need to ensure conformity with processes and rules.
The job requires someone who is energetic, flexible, organised and self-disciplined and who enjoys working in a team/project environment.

Formal qualifications or relevant experience - Relevant Business Degree/Honours/Master’s degree
